It seems that a lot of people are getting yellow replacement displays and just living with them. And thanks for continuing to complain to Apple about the yellow display. Or maybe your replacement machine was refurbished. I would have expected that the yellow displays are only used as replacements and not on new machines.
I find it interesting that they gave you an entirely new machine as a replacement and that the display on this new machine was also yellow. I'm still thinking to go again to other location to say that I want one WHITE. So now I have a fu.ing YELLOW screen, that is horrible. As a graphic designer is crazy to work with it. the guy told me that after three times they could not do enything for me. I told them the same moment i turned on the new computer that it was yellow too. SCREEN., i went back and i said that the screen was yellow, they said they would change it again.guess: YELLOW SCREEN.I went back, and they said we give you one new one laptop.I said ok. They replaced the screen because the problem with the hinges on august 2013, still on warrantie. I had issues with the hinges of this labtop.
I got my macbook pro retina on august 2012. I also found that sometimes when loading a game like Team Fortress 2 or SimCity and then quitting the game and returning to the desktop somehow the colour is very different and it actually looks good for a minute and then fades back to yellow. Have you tried buying a colour calibrator or tried my attachment with colour profiles? It won't make your display look as good as the first one you agreed to buy but it does help make the display less horrible to look at. And both the new non-yellow and the replacement yellow displays are Samsung LSN154YL01001. Because if they used the yellow displays on new machines people would return them! But as replacements we're stuck with them and we have to go visit Apple and be treated like idiots like we don't know what a display is supposed to look like. And Apple knows that so I believe that Apple uses the yellow displays only as replacements and uses normal ones on new machines. If my first display was yellow like this one I would have returned it. My first display, the one I agreed to buy by keeping it past the 14-day return period, was not yellow. The problem is that this yellow display is different than the display I agreed to buy. On my 3 visits to the Genius Bar I was also told that the yellow display was normal. My best tech guy checked there is no problem with the screen. give me a message back if u need more help. talking with the manager very ******* me off and very disappointed, after all the talk she end me by giving me 2 choose: 1 take the second screen ( yellow) or 2 take the current screen (yelllow).they say will give me time to think, they can keep the macbook for me if i dont want to pick it up. this guy and the manager keep saying its normal no different. even blind person can see the warm yellow on the screen. I ask them to compair the screen at the store before pick up. PS: these apple tech are kind of useless. i think if u spend more time keep calibrating the color u will get the rite color back. you might able to get the rite color back. you can calibrate the screen colour your self on your macbook.Ĭlick on CALIBRATE. Hey buddy, I got something that might helps.
